A teapot made from Zi Sha Yixing clay, featuring the artist’s interpretation of the unconventional Xiao Gan Pao (“Little Cannon”) form. Excellent craftsmanship by master Lu Xinglong (芦兴龙).
Capacity: 200 mlThe master’s seal is stamped on the bottom. The walls are of medium thickness. The strainer is a classic 7-hole design.
The teapot is decorated with carved Chinese characters meaning “Cultivate virtue through frugality.” This is a classical Chinese saying originating from Zhuge Liang’s Admonitions to His Son.
Its meaning is that true self-cultivation and purity of spirit are impossible without self-discipline, moderation, and a simple, restrained way of life.
